Field TechESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Grounds Maintenance (Mow, spray, weedeat) MUST KNOW HOW TO DRIVE A TRACTOR!Field Maintenance (risers, center pivot, hose reels).
Grease and maintain all equipment.
Irrigate and maintain all spray fields.
Keep spray heads exposed and marked.
Monitor broadleaf vegetation and other non-desirable vegetation and poison when needed.
Our main cover crops are Bermuda and Rye grasses.
Over seed any bare areas as needed.
Monitor irrigation and eliminate all run off.
Observe all boundary and buffer zones.
50' from roads and 100' from streams and drainages.
Don't allow any standing water on fields while irrigating.
Don't irrigate when rain chances are above 49% according to the weather app.
Monitor all aerators in aeration basins.
Notify maintenance of mechanical or electrical issues.
Assist DAF operators when needed.
Record rainfall data daily.
Record irrigation data daily.
This includes spray time, irrigation method, and field sprayed on.
Record Lagoon Freeboard and Dissolved Oxygen daily.

Experience:
Problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate effectively with other personnelAbility to read and understand department documents and proceduresAbility to work as a member of a teamMust follow all safety requirements WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to work in both a hot humid environment as well as a cold wet conditions for up to 12 hours at a timeMust be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs on an a frequent basis, including lifting at shoulder level or above $16 plus an hour DOESalary:
$16 per hour.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
